Stuttgart vs. Bayern Munich: Preview and TV schedule

Unbeaten Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich should compound Stuttgart’s woes with a win on Wednesday.

Dennis Grombkowski

Bayern Munich picked up where they left off before the winter break last Friday, blowing away Gladbach 2-0 in a completely one-sided affair. They should be able to repeat the feat on Wednesday, when they travel to face a VfB Stuttgart team currently suffering with some pretty bad form.

Despite replacing Bruno Labbadia with young Thomas Schneider back in August, VfB have disappointed in the league. They suffered their fourth league defeat in their last five league games at home to Mainz last weekend, and picking up anything against the Bavarians seems highly unlikely. As it stands, they’re on to match last season’s disappointing 12th-place finish.

For this match, VfB will be without the injured Daniel Didavi and Marco Rojas, though otherwise should have a full-strength team available. For Bayern, Pep Guardiola will still be unable to select Holger Badstuber, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Daniel van Buyten, who are sidelined through injury.
