Liverpool have missed out on the deadline-day signing of Yevhen Konoplyanka.

The Ukrainian winger and his club, Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk had been in talks over a move all day but the move has fallen through, with the clubs reportedly unable to agree exact terms on the deal despite a price and personal terms being agreed.

The move is the second signing Liverpool have publicly missed out on in the window after Mohamed Salah turned down the chance of an Anfield move to sign for José Mourinho's Chelsea.

According to Sky Sports, the winger had even undergone a medical, so close was the deal to being finalised. That leaves Liverpool with no reinforcements this window as they battle for fourth place between Everton, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
