Liverpool were nearly upset in their UEFA Champions League opener, but they won a late penalty to grab all three points and keep themselves in the mix for the top spot. They'll expect a win away to FC Basel on Wednesday (2:45 p.m. ET, FOX Sports 2) to send them into their big clash with Real Madrid on six points.

Basel only have a couple of injury concerns. Ivan Ivanov will play no part due to a knee injury, while former Red Philipp Degen will face a late fitness test. Liverpool are still without the same handful of players who have been missing for the better part of the last month -- Joe Allen, Emre Can, Jon Flanagan and Glen Johnson. Those injuries leave them thin at central midfield and right back, but they're fully fit otherwise.
This is not one of the Champions League games that has been sublicensed to ESPN, unfortunately for American fans who would like more streaming options. Both of the options for watching this match are through FOX. If you are a television subscriber to FOX Sports 2, you can find a free stream of the game over at FOX Sports Go. If that doesn’t work for you, your other option is FOX Soccer 2 Go, a paid service that does not require a TV subscription.
The game is on Sky Go in the UK, while Sportsnet World Now will be carrying it in Canada. You can find listings for other countries at LiveSoccerTV.
