While recent editions of the Superclasico de las Americas have been home-and-away friendlies with domestic players only, this edition is being taken on the road with the best of the best to make a little money. However, there have been concerns that the game might be called off or moved due to pollution.
While sponsors likely made certain that Neymar showed up, Brazil is doing a bit of experimenting otherwise. There are other first choice players in the team, but Dunga is mixing and matching well-known fringe veterans, likely new first choice players and youngsters. Argentina, meanwhile, have brought their strongest squad.
