Brilliant goal denies Chelsea the WSL title

Chelsea were almost Women’s Super League champions. Almost.

They entered the final day of the season on top of the league, but then Toni Duggan decided to perfectly chest a ball down and rip a gorgeous volley into the side netting for a goal like it was no big deal. Only it was a big deal, for three reasons.

1) Whoa!

2) It was the difference in Manchester City’s 2-1 win, allowing Liverpool to catch Chelsea and win their second straight title.

3) Whoa!

Bonus: Duggan is from Liverpool.
