Rio Ferdinand isn't having a great season for Queens Park Rangers. Rio Ferdinand is also very active on Twitter. This leads to some pretty rough interactions, in which people abuse him for playing poorly and he responds. This has resulted in a charge for misconduct by The FA for an abusive tweet with a reference to gender.

So a fan told Ferdinand that QPR need to replace him and Ferdinand decided to fire back by referring to the fan’s mother in misogynistic terms. Great way to engage with supporters!
That charge has resulted in a suspension for Ferdinand, and he’ll miss the next three games for QPR. He’s also been handed a fine.
