Can Napoleon Dynamite be deciding factor in MLS Rookie of Year race?

Tesho Akindele has a pretty compelling case to be the MLS Rookie of the Year. His seven goals are more than any other qualified player and his three assists have tied a FC Dallas rookie record. He's also a key offensive cog for a team that could challenge for MLS Cup.

But these races are as much about popularity and public relations as anything else and this video could be the boost the relatively obscure player needs to get him over the hump.

Sure, Napoleon Dynamite is 10 years old (checks IMDB, confirms, starts to consider life choices...) and it has surely lost quite a bit of relevance, but that's still pretty good. Also, shout out to Matt Hedges, who ran a dark-horse Rookie of the Year campaign of his own last year, for doing a spot-on impression.
