Real Madrid's Welsh attacker Gareth Bale will miss at least a week with injury, according to reports in Spain. A muscular problem in his buttock will keep him out of Madrid's mid-week Champions League tie against Liverpool, and will also prevent him taking part in the first Clásico of the season next Saturday.
Injury rules Gareth Bale out of Liverpool and Barcelona games
The Welshman will miss at least a week with a muscular problem.

After playing twice for Wales over the international break, in both cases with no obvious ill effects, Bale was an unused substitute as Madrid put five past Levante last weekend. Though the problem is not thought to be too serious -- indeed, initial reports had him returning in time for the Barcelona game -- it appears that further rest is required, and he has not trained with the first team this week.
Good news for Liverpool's shaky defenders, then, and for Barcelona; Madrid, meanwhile, will just have to struggle on with Cristiano Ronaldo and James Rodriguez. Karim Benzema also sustained an injury over the international break, though could return after sitting out the Levante game, while Sergio Ramos and Fabio Coentrao are also doubts.
