Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao is a surprise drop from today's starting lineup as the Red Devils face off against West Brom. According to United manager Louis van Gaal, the Colombian striker is suffering from jet lag and will start the match on the bench.
Radamel Falcao dropped from Manchester United lineup due to jet lag
The Colombian striker will start Monday’s match against West Brom on the bench.
With Wayne Rooney serving the second game of a three-match ban for a red card, Robin van Persie gets the start for United, despite the fact he also played two games during the international break for the Netherlands. Apparently Van Gaal’s decision was based on RVP getting back to the club sooner than Falcao.
Van Gaal explains striker selection: "RvP came back [from internationals] two days before Falcao, who was in South America. He had jetlag."
