Sunderland didn't just get beat on Saturday. Southampton smacked them around, embarrassed them and then pushed their faces in the mud, thrashing the Black Cats, 8-0.
Sunderland got beat so bad goalkeeper wants club to reimburse fans
To the fans who wait to watch us get beat 8-0 ...

As bad as it must have been to be a Sunderland player, at least they got paid. The fans paid to be there, shelling out for transportation and tickets just to spend 90 minutes watching their team get slaughtered. But goalkeeper Vito Mannone is campaigning for the team to reimburse the fans.
“I will personally talk to the team to see if it is possible to pay for their tickets and their trip,” Mannone said to the BBC. “I really mean that we should pay their tickets and travel.”
That is a very nice gesture and the fans would certainly take the money, but it won’t be enough until the club put the fans in a time machine to five minutes before the match started and gouges their eyes out.
At least Mannone is a nice guy though!
