Barcelona are heavy favorites against Ajax, and for good reason. They are significantly better than their Eredivisie opponents and are at home.
Lionel Messi, Neymar lead Barcelona into Champions League clash vs. Ajax
Barcelona will start without Xavi and Sergio Busquets.

Lionel Messi and Neymar lead the attack, as always, and they will be joined by Pedro up front. Neither Xavi nor Sergio Busquets, bringing Javier Mascherano into the midfield, which shouldn’t be a problem. Mascherano is plenty good enough and it is not as if Ajax figure to give them too much trouble.
Champions League
Ajax will be heavily dependent on Kolbeinn Sigthorsson and Lasse Schone to provide something in the attack. They figure to have little of the ball and even fewer chances so they will need to make the most of the few looks at goal that they do get. That means Sigthorsson and Schone being at least clinical, if not downright brilliant.
