Cornella vs. Real Madrid live stream: How to watch the Copa del Rey online

Madrid begin their march to a potential second straight King’s Cup.

Denis Doyle

Real Madrid begins their march towards a possible defense of the Copa del Rey as they open their Round of 32 tie against third division side Cornella on Wendesday.

Don't expect to see man of Madrid's biggest names on the pitch though as Iker Casillas, Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos are expected to move aside for the likes of Keylor Navas, Javier Hernandez and Raphaël Varane. Gareth Bale will also be out as he continues to recover from a muscle injury.

That said, there will plenty of firepower on the pitch for Madrid who are coming off a massive 3-1 victory over their rivals Barcelona over the weekend. Carlo Ancelotti will want to keep his team fresh with league and Champions league games ahead, but he'll also want to get a positive result heading int the second leg at home.

Cornella’s road to the Round of 32 has not been easy, needing penalties in the first round against Jaen to advance, and having to come from behind against Zamora and Leioa in the second and third round. Getting by Madrid is a huge task and not one they’ll likely be able to pull off, but you never know.

The venue will be familiar for Los Blancos with the match being played at the Estadi Cornella-El Prat, home of La Liga side Espanyol.

Match Date/Time: Wednesday 9 p.m. local, 3 p.m. ET

Venue: Estadi Cornella-El Prat, Barcelona, Spain
