So you flipped through your TV guide, looked at regular legal streaming websites and didn't find anything about tonight's MLS Cup Playoffs knockout-round game between FC Dallas and the Vancouver Whitecaps. What gives?
You can only watch FC Dallas vs. Vancouver Whitecaps if you’re in Canada or want to pay
We’ll try to help you figure out how to watch FC Dallas vs. Vancouver Whitecaps, but you’re pretty screwed.

Well, the game isn’t being broadcast on national television in the United States, nor is it being streamed through the platforms that carry games that are televised -- Watch ESPN, NBC Live Extra and Univision Deportes en vivo. Instead, the game is only available in almost all of America on MLS Live.
If you’re a hardcore MLS fan, you probably already have a subscription to MLS Live. But if you’re not and just show up for the playoffs or your team’s games, the only way to watch Dallas-Vancouver is by shelling out $19. Because the remainder of the playoff games are on national TV and, therefore, blacked out on MLS Live, you are essentially paying that fee for just one game.
However, if you’re in Canada, you’re in luck! You can watch the game on TV on TSN1, and also on TSN’s online streaming platform. It’s also on local TV in Dallas. You can watch it on TWC Sports if you’re in the area.
Thankfully for MLS fans, this is the only game that isn’t on any kind of TV or non-paid streaming service, though the weekend’s Eastern Conference playoff matches are on the scarcely available Univision Deportes. All other games will either be on NBC Sports Network or the ESPN family of networks.
Kickoff is at 9 p.m. ET from Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.
