Manchester City playmaker David SIlva will be out for three weeks after injuring knee ligaments. The 28-year-old Spaniard injured himself after falling awkwardly against Newcastle, as City lost 2-0 in the League Cup midweek. Speaking to the press, City's manager Manuel Pellegrini said:
David Silva out for 3 weeks, will miss Manchester derby
Manchester City will take on their cross-town rivals without their most creative player.

Maybe he will be out for three weeks so he will not be available. He’s a very important player but I always say the same thing — we have the squad and we have to replace him because everyone has different problems with their players.
Along with Sunday's derby against Manchester United, Silva will also miss next week's crucial Champions League game against CSKA Moscow. However, assuming three weeks is an accurate prognosis, he should be back in contention for the visit of Bayern Munich on November 25. Pellegrini was more upbeat about the fitness of Yaya Toure, who has picked up a "small problem" but should be fit for Sunday.
