Chelsea vs. Arsenal kickoff delayed by flares

Galatasaray fans forced a delay late in the first half of their team’s loss against the Gunners in the Champions League during the midweek and apparently that bit of misbehavior inspired some troublemakers to create a little chaos of their own. Considering how well policed English stadiums are, the chances are good that the culprits are either already caught, or will be soon enough.

The delay is purely for safety reasons and there are unconfirmed reports on Twitter that no more Arsenal fans are being allowed into the stadium. Always nice for a few nincompoops to spoil everyone’s fun ahead of a big match.
