AS Roma captain Francesco Totti reacted angrily to his side's 3-2 defeat at the hands of Juventus on Sunday, implying that the Italian champions are cheating. The bianconeri received two penalties in their victory, while Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini claimed that Leonardo Bonucci's winner was also "irregular," with some suspicion of an offside.

Francesco Totti implied that Juventus are cheating in the wake of Roma’s 3-2 defeat in Turin on Sunday.

“I’m not sure if we were beaten by the referee; we were certainly not beaten by Juve. By hook or by crook they always win. Juve should play in their own league, every year is the same. We will again finish second,” Totti is quoted as saying by the Gazzetta dello Sport.
For the uninitiated, Totti’s stinging remarks are particularly significant, as Juventus were strongly punished for their part in a match-fixing scandal that erupted in 2006. They were stripped of two Serie A titles and punished by being relegated to the second tier. Only in recent seasons have they recovered from their relegation and established themselves as Italy’s dominant force once again.
Juventus’ director Beppe Marotta hit back at Totti, by describing saying he said “unacceptable things,” and added that “through no fault of her own Juve had two league titles stolen that were deservedly won on the pitch.” However, it should be noted that while Marotta claims to have suffered a great injustice in the loss of the two titles, the bianconeri still count the two that they had stripped -- as they were keen to point out to Atlético Madrid last week:
