For the fourth time in six years, the LA Galaxy and Real Salt Lake are meeting in the MLS Cup Playoffs (8 p.m. ET, NBCSN). They’ve produced some of the best action in the competition during this era of Major League Soccer, and they have the quality to do it again in this year’s Western Conference semifinals.

Last season, these teams met in the same round. LA won the first leg 1-0, but RSL forced extra time in the second leg, then won with a 102nd minute goal by Chris Schuler.
Schuler is among the players on RSL’s injury list due to a broken nose, but he’s expected to play. Rich Balchan should be available as well despite an adductor strain, while Jordan Allen and John Stertzer are out. LA’s only absence is Todd Dunivant, who has been out long-term with a muscle tear.
If you live in the United States, it’s pretty easy to catch the game online. Because it’s on NBCSN, that outlet is showing the game on the NBC Live Extra service. You’ll need to log in with your TV subscription info to watch, but it is free. Unfortunately, because this is a national TV game, it’s blacked out on MLS Live.
In Canada, you can catch the game on TSN2 and their streaming service. For listings from other countries, check out Live Soccer TV.
