Rumors about the extent of Edin Džeko's injury began circulating shortly after the 2-2 draw between Queens Park Rangers and Manchester City, but now they have been confirmed: the striker will miss up to three weeks with a serious calf injury.
Edin Džeko will miss multiple Bosnia, Manchester City matches
Manuel Pellegrini will likely manage alright without the forward, but his national team is likely to suffer in their Euro 2016 qualifier against Israel.

That leaves City with just two forwards, Sergio Agüero and Stevan Jovetić. The Argentine is, of course, in blistering form, and nearly single-handedly rescued a point for his side at Loftus Road. As for Jovetic, he has still failed to impress, and it is likely Manuel Pellegrini will continue with a lone striker up top.
The situation is more worrisome for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Safet Sušić has long scorned many forwards available to the national side. Džeko was the sole striker called up for the weekend's match against Israel, as Vedad Ibišević, Sušić's other trusted forward, is out with long-term injury. But despite losing Džeko, the Bosnia coach has refused to bring in another striker. With just two points, Bosnia are looking in danger of not qualifying for Euro 2016.
