USA vs. Colombia live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch online
The United States could hand debuts to a couple of players, while there will be eyes on a pair of New England Revolution stars.
Much to the relief of the clubs of European-based players on the United States and Colombia, the two sides are playing their international friendly in London on Friday. However, Jurgen Klinsmann has called in 12 American-based players, including two who are still alive in the MLS Cup Playoffs. Oops!
The United States squad is headlined by Lee Nguyen, who has been called into the team for the first time since 2007 after an MVP-caliber season for the New England Revolution. Youngsters Jordan Morris and Rubio Rubin have also earned another call, and fans will be hoping the uncapped young phenoms actually get a chance to play this time around.
Colombia, meanwhile, are without Radamel Falcao. He’s still dealing with seemingly chronic knee problems. Los Cafeteros are also without goalkeeper David Ospina, so their three keepers have two caps between them. There appears to be a changing of the guard in the Colombia defense, with their three most veteran players having been left out, along with Camilo Zuniga and Carlos Valdes.
Key player - James Rodriguez (Colombia)
Could it be anyone else? The World Cup Golden Ball winner is starting to settle in at Real Madrid and has shown flashes that he might eventually justify the gigantic amount of money spent on him. And even if he never does that, he’s still the best player participating in this match, and by some distance. A somewhat experimental U.S. team is going to struggle to contain him.

Key question - Will Jermaine Jones, center back, remain a thing?
In his first outing as a central defender, Jermaine Jones looked very good. He might get another shot in that role. But this team also includes three other central defenders, all of whom are much younger than him and played in the position at the last World Cup. It will be interesting to see if Klinsmann persists with this, and if Jones looks comfortable in that spot against a great attacking team like Colombia.
