Crystal Palace vs. Sunderland live stream: How to watch the EPL online

Crystal Palace host fellow strugglers Sunderland in the Premier League’s Monday fixture.

Two of the Premier League's strugglers clash in the Monday evening fixture, with Crystal Palace welcoming Sunderland to Selhurst Park. Palace head into the game just a point and a couple of places clear of the relegation zone, with Neil Warnock's side having amassed just nine points from as many fixtures so far this season.

However, that’s still a better tally than Gus Poyet’s Sunderland, whose eight-point total is only good enough for a spot in the bottom three. It’s a concerning start from a team that only just managed to escape the drop last season, and they will need to find an improvement over the coming weeks. This game could well be vital in kickstarting the seasons of both of these sides.

Key player - Lee Cattermole (Sunderland)

Sunderland's Lee Cattermole was one of the Premier League's most impressive early performers, with the tough-tackling midfield anchorman providing crucial cover to a worryingly weak defence. If the Black Cats again survive relegation this season, they will no doubt have Cattermole to thank.

Key matchup - Vito Mannone vs. Palace shots

However, one of Sunderland's rather less impressive performers so far this season has been goalkeeper Vito Mannone, with the former Arsenal man always looking at risk of dropping a clanger at the most inopportune of moments. In such an important game as this, the Italian will have to make sure to be on his guard.

Crystal Palace injuries and suspensions

Out: None. In doubt: Scott Dann (knee).

Sunderland injuries and suspensions

Out: Ricky Álvarez (knee), Sebastián Coates (thigh), Emanuele Giaccherini (ankle), Billy Jones (hamstring). In doubt: None.

Crystal Palace will be hoping to have centre-back Scott Dann back available after a knee injury, but otherwise Neil Warnock should have a full-strength team at his disposal. The same can’t be said for Gus Poyet, who will be without defenders Sebastián Coates and Billy Jones, as well as attackers Ricky Álvarez and Emanuele Giaccherini.
