Barcelona's Lionel Messi, whose fitness has been the cause of concern for some time, has been undergoing extra physiotherapy work with the Argentina national team doctor, according to reports in Spain.
Lionel Messi turns to Argentina physio over injury worries
According to reports in Spain, Barcelona’s playmaking genius is concerned about his fitness, and has been looking outside the club for assistance.

Television station La Sexta claims that Marcelo D’Andrea, who enjoys a close relationship with Messi, has been living with the player for the last two weeks. Messi has apparently been “feeling that something is wrong” and is “worried about suffering another injury”. However, by his own high standards he has been noticeably subdued in recent games, and has failed to score in his last two appearances. His tally for the season sits at seven goals in ten league matches, which admittedly isn’t bad by anybody else’s standards.
Despite his ongoing fitness concerns, Messi has nevertheless played nearly every minute of Barcelona's season, and even refused to come off as a substitute against Eibar earlier in the season. He also played the entire of of Barcelona's shock 1-0 defeat to Celta Vigo last Saturday, despite Barcelona having a Champions League game against Ajax this Wednesday.
