Ajax are treading water in the Champions League, having done enough to keep themselves alive up until this point, but they’re in serious need of a result against Barcelona on Wednesday (2:45 p.m. ET, FOX Sports 1).

The Blaugrana are in need of a win too, having lost their last two in a row in La Liga. They’re also two points behind Paris Saint-Germain, having lost their first game against the Ligue 1 champions, so they might not be able to retake top spot in the group if they don’t get all three points in Amsterdam.
Barcelona are still without Thomas Vermaelen due to fitness issues, while Andres Iniesta, Jeremy Mathieu and Sergi Roberto all miss out too. The only injury that Ajax have listed is the one to wonderkid attacker Viktor Fischer.
