This weekend against Valencia at the Estadio Mestalla, Lionel Messi stepped into his new "mirosar10" boots which are, of course, based on the f50 silo that the Barca man has been wearing for a period of time that is known as "forever." The new boots, like just about all of Messi's previous ones, do not change any of the f50's mechanics but instead offer a fancy new paint job.
adidas’ new mirosar10 boots for Messi celebrate his history
It’s been a little while since we last saw a special edition colorway for Barcelona’s Lionel Messi from adidas. In fact, it has only been two and a half months since the Argentine superstar first stepped into the color-blocked celebration of his career that the last pair represented. If you were getting worried about the delay in getting a new version, fret no more as adidas have answered your calls!

The “mirosar10” name translates to “my Rosario”, which is the city that birthed the modern legend, housing his first pair of clubs in local side Grandoli and Primera División side Newell’s Old Boys, where Messi really cut his teeth. The boot’s name also includes the squad number that Messi wears for both club and country.
The predominantly orange colorway of the cleats is a direct nod to Grandoli, a team that was managed by Messi’s father at that point, while the muted green that takes up the back of the foot represents the team that Messi played in his “first significant 11-a-side game as a child,” according to adidas. That team saw what Lionel Messi can and will do firsthand as he opened his account with a haul (four, as defined by the Football Ramble) of goals. The orange color cuts through the green in a zigzag pattern that pays homage to the player’s dynamic on-pitch movement and his ability to make his way through the opposition.
The insole is covered by a map of Rosario, which is the largest city in the province of Santa Fe, and features a graphic of the Batallon pitch, which was a field on an abandoned military base that Leo and his friends would access and play on by climbing through a hole in the fence.
Messi have his new cleats their official debut in league play against Valencia with Barcelona walking out 0-1 winners thanks to a Sergio Busquets winner at the death but with the main man finishing without a goal to his name on the day.
The boots are available from adidas immediately can be purchased at just about any shop that sells soccer footwear.
