Group F was one of the easier-to-predict groups in the Champions League this year. With Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain as the first two teams placed in the group, they were always going to be the top finishers, even if Ajax gave it a valiant, if doomed, effort.

Both teams are already through to the Champions League knockout rounds, but Paris Saint-Germain can seal their hold on the top spot in Group F if they can find a way to get at least a draw at the Camp Nou.

Now as we enter the final match day, those two titans of the group face off to see who will finish with the top seed in the group, thus getting a (theoretically) easier matchup in the round of 16. Paris Saint-Germain currently hold a one-point edge with 13 points to Barcelona’s 12, thanks in no small part to their 3-2 win over Barca in Paris.
If Edinson Cavani, who has scored five of PSG’s nine Champions League goals, and his side can continue their fine form, they stand a fair chance of finding that point they need to secure the top seed out of the group. Barcelona have been in fine form of late, though, and coming off the back of two four-goal-margin wins they could have too much momentum behind them for the French champions to overturn.
Of interesting note, if Barcelona do manage to beat PSG, it would mark their eighth straight season of winning their Champions League group, stretching back to the 2006/7 season. The club will be eager to extend that mark if they can, but PSG will be just as happy to end the streak in it's track if they can. They'll also be looking to keep Lionel Messi from scoring, as he'll certainly be looking to add to his all-time record of 74 Champions League goals.
