The Champions League hasn’t proven much more difficult than the Premier League for Chelsea, who have already wrapped up first place in their group. However, Sporting Club aren’t guaranteed of anything yet, and might need to get a result against the Blues (2:45 p.m. ET, FOX Sports regional) to qualify for the knockout stage.
Chelsea vs. Sporting Lisbon live stream: How to watch Champions League online
The group is already wrapped up for the Blues, which might give Sporting a chance to hold off Schalke.
Sporting currently sit on seven points, two ahead of Schalke. Sporting have the aggregate lead on Schalke in head-to-head, so if Schalke defeat Maribor while Sporting grab a draw at Stamford Bridge, it would be the Portuguese side who went through to the next round.
Cedric is suspended for Sporting, while Nani is unavailable due to a thigh injury. Jefferson is also not expected to be available. The only injury that Chelsea list is Nathan Ake, but they’re likely to rest some other first choice players. Don’t expect to see John Terry or Eden Hazard in this game.
Thankfully for American viewers, this is probably the easiest game of the day to watch online. It’s one of the games that was sublicensed to ESPN, so you can catch it on the Watch ESPN app. There’s an ESPN3 stream, meaning you don’t need a TV package. If you’re a subscriber to a FOX regional network, you can also catch it for free on FOX Sports Go. And if neither works, there’s FOX Soccer 2 Go, a paid service that requires no TV subscription.
You can find the game on Sky Go in the UK and Sportsnet World Now in Canada. For listings from more countries, check out Live Soccer TV.
