Neymar out for Barcelona’s trip to Getafe

Neymar will not play for Barcelona when they play Getafe on Saturday. He won't even be in Madrid for the match. Barcelona are opting to leave him home as he deals with an injury to his left ankle.

Barcelona have called Neymar's absence precautionary, implying that it is not especially serious. He played and scored in Barcelona's Champions League win on Wednesday, but suffered the injury on Friday during training. He had to leave the session early and was quickly ruled out of the weekend contest.

With Neymar out, Barcelona will likely start Pedro in his place. That will give them a frontline of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Pedro. The other option for Luis Enrique is Munir, but the youngster hasn't played since Suarez returned from suspension so Pedro is a much better bet.

Barcelona have won eight straight matches over all competitions and are second in La Liga, two points behind leaders Real Madrid. Getafe sit 12th and have been decent, but Barcelona shouldn't have a problem winning even without Neymar.
