Edin Dzeko injured in warmups, Jose Pozo starts vs. Leicester City

Manchester City are now down to no senior center forwards. Stevan Jovetic is still working his way back from injury, Sergio Aguero will miss a few games with strained knee ligaments, and now Edin Dzeko has gone down as well. He was set to start City's match against Leicester City on Saturday, but picked up an unspecified injury and was pulled from the starting XI.

Playing in Dzeko’s place is 18-year-old Spanish striker Jose Angel Pozo, who has played a handful of games for City this season. This is his fourth appearance, and third in the Premier League. He joined City in 2012 and does have one goal this season, in the League Cup.

Even before this injury, Manuel Pellegrini hinted that City would look at potential center forward options during the January transfer window. City also has Alvaro Negredo out on loan, but a January recall isn't going to happen. The club he's with, Valencia, are competing for a Champions League place and have an agreement in principle with City to buy him this summer.
