2015 World Cup draw live results: USWNT drawn into Group of Death

The USWNT draws the Group of Death for the Women’s World Cup.

John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports

Canada have their best chance ever to win an international tournament, the United States and Japan might get to play out another thriller on the biggest stage, and Marta is facing one of her last chances to earn Brazil a reputation in the women’s game similar to the one they have in the men’s. The Women’s World Cup draw is here, and the field for the summer’s biggest tournament will be set on Saturday in Ottawa (12 p.m. ET, FOX Sports 1).

While debates rage about Canada’s turf fields ahead of the tournament, that’s unlikely to be brought up on Saturday, which will probably just be a celebration of the qualified teams and the great games we can look forward to early in the tournament. The expansion of the Women’s World Cup to 24 teams might mean that we have to wait longer to see the best of the best face off, but it’ll also give some underdogs a chance to develop their programs and spring massive upsets.

Here’s the draw.
