Barcelona vs. Espanyol live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch La Liga online

The season’s first Catalan Derby takes place on Sunday at the Camp Nou

With both Atlético Madrid and Real Madrid earning victories on Saturday, Barcelona will look to keep pace in the title race as they face Espanyol in the first Catalan Derby of the season.

Barca are rested and healthy after Luis Enrique was able to rest a majority of his starters during the midweek's Copa del Rey match. Lionel Messi and Neymar finally got a little time off, which should help both players immensely. Andres Inietsa is back as well which gives the midfield a huge boost.

Espanyol play an aggressive style and will likely try to pressure Barca on the ball, hoping to create mistakes on which they can capitalize. They’ll have to be careful though as few teams are better at taking advantage of their opponents pressing than the Blaugrana.

Barca have won the last five Catalan derbies, having not conceded a single goal in any of those matches.

Barcelona injuries and suspensions

Out: Thomas Vermaelen (hamstring).

Espnyol injuries and suspensions

Out: Paco Montañés (thigh). In Doubt: Christian Stuani (virus).

Thomas Vermaelen is Barca’s only injured player and thanks to his recent surgery, he’s not expected to be back for several months. Christian Stuani is a doubt for Espanyol with an illness.
