Liverpool vs. FC Basel live stream: How to watch Champions League online

The Reds need a win. Any other result and they’re out.

Last season, Liverpool put together a brilliant season, coming close to the Premier League title and clinching a Champions League berth. But their return to the competition hasn’t gone smoothly, and they need a win over FC Basel on Tuesday (2:45 p.m. ET, FOX Sports 1) to advance.

It’s been an awful Champions League campaign for Liverpool thus far. There’s no shame in their two losses to Real Madrid, but only managing four points from their other three games is a terrible return. Basel will like where they are, needing just a draw to advance.

Liverpool’s injury list continues to be a long one. Daniel Sturridge, Mario Balotelli and Mamadou Sakho are the potentially first-choice players who will miss out, while youngsters Jon Flanagan and Suso will also be watching from the sidelines. Basel are doing better in the injury department, but they’ll still be hurting without Giovanni Sio and Ivan Ivanov.

Unfortunately for American viewers, this is not one of the games that has been sublicensed to ESPN, so the only ways to watch the game online are through FOX. If you are a TV subscriber to FOX Sports 1, you can catch the game for free on FOX Sports Go. If that’s not an option for you, there’s also FOX Soccer 2 Go, a paid service that does not require you to be a TV subscriber.

In the UK, the game is showing on the ITV Player, while Sportsnet World Now is carrying it in Canada. For listings from more countries, check out Live Soccer TV.
