Manchester City vs. Chelsea: Preview and TV schedule

After meeting last year in the semifinals, City and the Blues meet in the Round of 16 in this year’s FA Cup.

Manchester City vs. Chelsea! A battle of two of the top teams in England! Oh...it's the FA Cup. While this match between two of this season's title contenders won't have title implications, it will determine who claims a place in the quarterfinals of this year's tournament.

In recent years these two teams have been an FA Cup mainstay, with one of the teams appearing in the final over the last five years. Chelsea won all three of their appearances while City won one and lost last season agains Wigan Athletic. The two teams met in one of last year’s semifinals with City coming out on top 2-1. It was the fourth they they’d met in the FA Cup.

Chelsea won the last league meeting between the two sides 1-0 in early February.

Out: Sergio Agüero (hamstring), Matija Nastasic (knee), Fernandinho (muscle injury).

Chelsea injuries and suspensions

Out: Gary Cahill (calf), John Terry (muscle).

Jose Mourinho will have to reorganize his back line with two center backs, Terry and Cahill, out for the match. City remains without midfielder Fernandinho and leading scorer Sergio Agüero.
