Gonzalo Arroyo Moreno

Real Madrid will go for their 15th straight league victory at home as they welcome Elche to the Bernabéu. Madrid are sitting in second place, tied on points with the leaders Barcelona and third place Atlético Madrid.

Carlo Ancelotti optimistically included suspended Cristiano Ronaldo on his match day roster, hoping that their appeal to the Spanish Sports Disciplinary committee will be upheld before the match. Ronaldo is scheduled to serve the third game of his three match ban after an altercation with Athletic Bilbao's Carlos Gurpegui that earned him a red card. Ancelotti has hinted he might rest a couple players with his team facing their first Champions League Round of 16 match next week.

Los Franjiverdes are four points clear of the drop zone and are unbeaten in the last three league matches. The played Madrid tough in the first meeting of the season, falling 2-1 at home.
