Barcelona got some more bad news today in the wake of their 3-1 loss against Real Socieded as central defender Gerard Piqué will be out at least two weeks with what the team is calling a minor thigh injury.
Gerard Piqué injury: Minor thigh injury will sideline the defender for two weeks
Barcelona’s central defender will miss at least the next two league matches after suffering a thigh injury in the loss against Real Sociedad.

The injury will sideline the defender for the team's next two league matches against Almeria and Real Valladolid. The team hopes to have Piqué back for the second leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie against Manchester City.
The Spanish defender has played in 33 matches so far this season for Barcelona, scoring 4 goals. In his absence Gerardo Martino will likely lean on the combination of Javier Mascherano and Marc Bartra, though Carles Puyol is likely to see some time as well if he's healthy.
Between the injury and Saturday’s loss, questions are yet again being asked about Barca’s need for another defender and why the team has not signed anyone over the past couple transfer windows.
