Moyes takes responsibility for United’s awful play

“I’ll front up.”

David Moyes has spent much of the season giving laughable post-match interviews, blaming referees or circumstances or luck for their losses, while saying they weren't far off from getting it right. It was as if he thought nobody else watched the match he just did.

But it appears as if Moyes has finally figured things out.

After Manchester United lost 2-0 to Olympiacos in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie, Moyes did something remarkable -- he said something that matched what we all saw with our own eyes.

Is that really a good thing?

Manchester United aren’t completely doomed, although the lack of an away goal makes things tough. A good performance, especially at home, certainly puts them through to the quarterfinals, but there hasn’t been much of an indicator that a good performance is coming.
