Didier Drogba starts up front as he takes on his former club as Chelsea travel to Istanbul for the first leg of their Champions League knockout stage game.
Galatasaray vs. Chelsea: Lineups
Didier Drogba starts up front for Galatasaray, while Andre Schurrle replaces Oscar for Chelsea as José Mourinho’s men look to do rather better in their Champions League game than their English rivals managed.
Oscar does not feature for the visitors, being replaced by Andre Schurrle in the side. Frank Lampard and Ramires make up the midfield with Nemanja Matic cup-tied, while Mohamed Salah is also unavailable having played in the competition for Basel.
Other than that, things are mostly as expected - Azpilicueta starts at left-back, but Fernando Torres also starts up front in place of Samuel Eto’o, which should be interesting. Yet another show of faith from Mourinho, particularly after his recent comments about the Cameroonian.
Galatasaray starting lineup: Fernando Muslera; Emmanuel Eboue, Hakan Balta, Aurelien Chedjou, Alex Telles, Izet Hajrovic, Selçuk Inan, Felipe Melo, Wesley Sneijder, Burak Yilmaz, Didier Drogba.
Chelsea starting lineup: Petr Cech; Branislav Ivanovic, John Terry, Gary Cahill, Cesar Azpilicueta; Frank Lampard, Ramires; Willian, Schurrle, Eden Hazard; Samuel Eto'o.
