Diego Simeone and Atléti moved to the top of La Liga over the weekend for the first time in 18 years and must now refocus for a tough cup challenge. Striker David Villa is unlikely to play after pulling up with a thigh muscle injury on Sunday, but there still should be plenty of weapons including Diego Costa who is back scoring after a month long drought to start the year.
Real Madrid enter the match having drawn over the weekend against Athletic Bilbao to remain in third place in the league. Cristiano Ronaldo will be available despite picking up a red card in that match. He'll learn his fate on Wednesday but any suspension will only effect league matches.
