Barcelona vs. Real Sociedad, 2014 Copa del Rey: Preview and TV schedule

Both teams will be looking to bounce back from league losses over the weekend as they open their Copa del Rey semifinal.

David Ramos

Barcelona and Real Sociedad enter the first leg of their Copa del Rey semifinal with both teams coming of losses over the weekend.

Barca are out of first place for the first time since the end of the 2012 season and now face a quick turnaround against La Real. Gerardo Martino will be hoping for a positive response from his side after their lackluster performance against Valencia that saw them not only drop out of first but end a 25-game home winning streak.

Real Sociedad will attempt to keep the tie close with the second leg back at Anoeta Stadium. Leaving Camp Nou win a victory would be a huge boost as they attempt to make their first final since 1988 (a match they lose 1-0 to Barcelona). If they can pull it off, it would be the first win by La Real at the Camp Nou since the 1990/91 season.
