Liverpool are continuing to roll with Steven Gerrard as their most defensive midfielder, while it isn't entirely clear how Arsenal will line up for the big match between the two early on Saturday. Jack Wilshere returns to the team, but is it to displace Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain or simply replace Lukas Podolski?
Arsenal vs. Liverpool: Lineups
Injuries have forced both teams into less than ideal lineups, but Arsenal and Liverpool still field very strong teams.
Oxlade-Chamberlain had an excellent game in the center of midfield, but he will probably operate in a different role this week. Expect to see him back on the wing -- unless Arsenal switches to a 4-3-3 formation. Liverpool's team is equally ambiguous, mostly because Brendan Rodgers has used slightly different formations with the same personnel. Look to see if Steven Gerrard plays as a lone holder or splits defensive duties with Jordan Henderson.
Arsenal (4-2-3-1): Wojciech Szczesny; Nacho Monreal, Laurent Koscielny, Per Mertesacker, Bacary Sagna; Mikel Arteta, Jack Wilshere; Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mesut Özil, Santi Cazorla; Olivier Giroud
Subs: Lukasz Fabianski, Carl Jenkinson, Kieran Gibbs, Tomas Rosicky, Serge Gnabry, Lukas Podolski, Nicklas Bendtner
Liverpool (4-3-3): Simon Mignolet; Aly Cissokho, Martin Skrtel, Kolo Toure, John Flanagan; Steven Gerrard, Jordan Henderson, Philippe Coutinho; Raheem Sterling, Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge
Kickoff is at 12:45 p.m. local time, 7:45 p.m. ET. You can catch the game on BBC One in the U.K. and USA Network in the United States.
