Cristiano Ronaldo is a pretty excellent footballer. He's also a pretty excellent person.
Cristiano Ronaldo pays for child’s surgery
Cristiano Ronaldo did the remarkable yet again, but this time off of the pitch.

The Real Madrid star was asked to donate boots and a Real Madrid shirt to an auction that hoped to raise funds for 10-month-old Erik Ortiz Cruz, who has cortical dysplasia. The brain disorder causes seizures, sometimes up to 30 a day, and can only be properly treated with an operation. The problem for Cruz and his family is that each test for the disorder costs €6,000 euros and the operation costs €60,000 so people from her village of Villaluenga de la Sangra have been trying to conjure up the money.
That led them to Ronaldo and the auction. And Ronaldo responded with the boots and shirt they asked for ... then he paid for the entire operation.
Two years ago, Ronaldo paid for a child cancer patient’s treatment so this isn’t the first time he has reached out to help. It’s not a bad side gig for a guy who normally spends his time scoring goals in front of 80,000 people and millions more on TV.
