Napoli vs. Fiorentina: Preview and TV schedule

Napoli will look to keep the heat on second-placed Roma with a win over Fiorentina on Sunday.

The mathematics may well be all that is keeping Juventus from wrapping up their third consecutive Serie A title, though the placings and European spots behind are still to be decided. Second-placed Roma are six points clear of third-placed Napoli after beating Chievo Verona on Saturday, with the Neapolitans looking to half their deficit with a win over Fiorentina on Sunday.

However, La Viola still have a lot to play for as well. They stopped a miserable run of results with a win over Chievo last weekend, but they're only a point clear of Inter Milan in fourth place, and a couple adrift of a fifth-placed Parma team with more momentum than almost anyone else in the league. With a seven-point buffer inside the Europa League places, it'd be a big shock if they were to drop out of the top six altogether. But with the squad they have, they really ought to have a more comfortable advantage than that.

For this match, Napoli have had Christian Maggio added to their injury list after he underwent emergency surgery on a collapsed lung in midweek. The latest addition to Fiorentina's unavailables is on-loan Manchester United midfielder Anderson, though Chilean playmaker David Pizarro could shake off his knock in time to make Vincenzo Montella's team.
