Following yesterday's kit unveiling for the Netherlands, Nike have officially revealed what Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal will wear for the occasions in which their hooped red home kit is not applicable. For the 2014 World Cup, the Portuguese will don a (frankly unsurprising) white shirt. Make no mistake about it though, this is a classy look for the European side with some very nice details to make it stand out from the competition.
Portugal get white centenary kit for the World Cup
The Portuguese national team will celebrate its centenary with a white and blue kit for the World Cup in Brazil

As mentioned earlier, the shirt is white, a color that Portugal and Nike have used for the country’s away kit in Euro 2008, World Cup 2010, Euro 2012, and now for World Cup 2014. The shirt features a stand collar, similar to the one used on France’s away top, but with a second level for added effect. The outermost part of the collar and the cuffs of the shirt feature a blue collar that is echoed in the Nike logo on the chest, in the shorts, and on the socks. The crest that Portugal will wear on their gear in the tournament features the years 1914 and 2014 on either side of the Order of Christ to celebrate the team’s centenary.
Nike have carried forward the cooling technology from the rest of their World Cup product line. With that, the shirt features laser-cut ventilation holes on the side of he torso, an engineered mesh on the back of the shirt, and Dri-FIT fabric to help keep players from overheating.
