What were you expecting from this match? Two hyper-aggressive teams went at it at Anfield, and the better side came out on top. By a lot.

Liverpool went ahead in the second minute thanks to a comical Younes Kaboul own goal. Glen Johnson was set free on the right via a simple overlap, and his low cross went skimming through the six-yard box until it was met by a lovely finish from the centre half, who rather sheepishly backheeled it into his own net.

Everton continue fourth place bid with Fulham win

Draw is disappointing for Arsenal and City

    Shaun Botterill

Manchester City are still title favorites and Arsenal are still favorites for fourth, but neither team strengthened their position on Saturday. They both played well in a 1-1 draw and can hardly argue that any other result was deserved, but it leaves both teams with lots of work to do in their coming fixtures.

    Goals: Flamini (53’)
