West Bromwich Albion vs. Manchester United: Preview and TV schedule

The Baggies meet the Red Devils with both teams needing wins for entirely different reasons.

West Brom welcomes Manchester United to The Hawthornes for the EPL's early game on Saturday. United are still smarting from a 2-0 loss in the Champions League against Olympiakos while West Brom haven't won a game since New Year's Day.

Pepe Mel has been on the job at West Brom nearly two months but there’s already some pressure growing on the new boss as his team remains on the cusp of the relegation zone. Four draws and two losses may not seem like the worst run for a struggling side but considering the two losses against teams just ahead of the Baggies, it’s not so great.

David Moyes is under a ton of pressure as well as his first season in charge at Manchester United. Having spent most of the season out of the top four -- they're currently stuck in seventh -- the fan base has grown more and more unsettled in the past months. A win over the Baggies won't cure all ills, but it would be a much needed positive for Moyes.

United have only won a single match -- a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace -- from their last five games in all competitions.

West Bromwich Albion injuries and suspensions

Out: Diego Lugano (knee), Billy Jones (hamstring), Nicolas Anelka (suspended). In Doubt: Claudio Yacob (hamstring), Stephane Sessegnon (groin).

Manchester United injuries and suspensions

Out: Javier Hernandez (knee), Phil Jones (thigh), Nani (hamstring). In Doubt: Jonny Evans (calf), Rafael (concussion).

West Brom’s Diego Lugano and Billy Jones are both out along with Nicolas Anelka who begins his suspicion over the use of the quenelle gesture. Claudio Yacob and Stephane Sessegnon should both be available though. Chicharito is United’s latest injury problem after picking up a knee injury on international duty, he joins Phil Jones and Nani on the sideline. Jonny Evans and Rafael should return though.

Projected lineups

West Brom: Ben Foster, Steven Reid, Gareth McAuley, Jonas Olsson, Liam Ridgewell, Youssouf Mulumbu, Morgan Amalfitano, James Morrison, Chris Brunt, Thievy Bifouma.

Manchester United: David de Gea, Chris Smalling, Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidić, Patrice Evra, Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini, Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney, Adnan Januzaj, Robin van Persie.
