It's the biggest Premier League match of the season. It's the league leaders Liverpool versus chasers Manchester City at Anfield. If you have a pulse and love the game of football, you're probably at least interested in the outcome of the match. More likely, if you're reading this preview, you plan to watch the potential title decider.

Liverpool have been on torrid form since the calendar turned to 2014. The Reds have not lost a league match since late December and are currently on a nine match winning streak. They’ve all but guaranteed themselves a Champions League return for next season, but the title is within their grasp, something Liverpool fans have been dreaming about for nearly 24 years.

City on the other hand are chasing their second title in three years, and currently sit four points back of Liverpool with two games in hand. A victory for City would move them within a point and put their title aspirations completely under their control.

The biggest news coming from City training was captain Vincent Kompany leaving training early on Saturday. The team says he'll be ready to go for Sunday, but it's definitely a concern. Yaya Toure is back and will start after suffering a knock last week against Southampton.

Both managers face selection decisions with starters returning from injury. Brendan Rodgers must decide whether to stick with defender Mamadou Sakho, or to bring back Daniel Agger who missed the Reds' last match with a knee injury. Meanwhile for City, Sergio Agüero has been training all week and should be available for selection for the first time in a month.

In honor of the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster, the match will start seven minutes later than normal. Kick-off will be preceded by a minute long moment of silence.
