Barcelona's defensive problems continue to get worse ahead of Wednesday's Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid. According to reports, defender Gerard Pique's injured hip is still causing him issues, and he'll likely be unavailable for the latest edition of El Clásico.
Gerard Piqué‘s injured hip will likely to keep him out of Copa del Rey final
Despite showing some improvement, the defender’s hip is reportedly still not healed enough play in the Copa del Rey final.

Pique has been out since the first leg of Barca’s Champions League quarterfinal tie against Atletico Madrid after a hard fall caused a minor fracture in his hip. The defender has been working hard to make a comeback but the injury is apparently not cooperating.
With Marc Bartra struggling with a hamstring injury and Carles Puyol still dealing with knee problems, Gerardo Martino is dealing with a serious crisis ahead of Wednesday's final. Javier Mascherano will start, but if Bartra or Puyol can't play, Martino will either have to again play Sergio Busquets at the back -- like he against Granada -- or shift Adriano inside.
Either way, having to face Real Madrid in a cup final with just one true central defender is not an ideal situation for the Blaugrana, but one it appears they’ll have no choice but to deal with.
