Fiorentina vs. AS Roma: Preview and TV schedule

Fourth-placed Fiorentina welcome second-placed Roma to the Artemio Franchi late on Saturday.

Paolo Bruno

Neither fourth-placed Fiorentina nor second-placed AS Roma have much to play for at this stage of the season, with both having locked down their respective positions in the Serie A table. However, their positions near the top of the table should at least ensure we see some entertaining football, as should their commitments to an attacking game.

Roma certainly head in as favourites; not just thanks to their higher league position, but also their excellent recent form. They’ve impressed by winning seven league games on the trot, and have emerged victorious from their last four games against the viola.

Fiorentina will be without Ahmed Hegazy, Matí Fernández, Giuseppe Rossi, Ante Rebić and Mario Gómez through injury, meaning Juan Cuadrado is expected to partner Alessandro Matri in attack. Roma will be without Mehdi Benatia, Federico Balzaretti and Kevin Strootman through injury, while on-form striker Mattia Destro is suspended.
