This leaves the Blaugrana with a major problem thanks to the one-year transfer ban that FIFA has placed on the club for violations surrounding the signing of youth players. If that ban is not overturned or delayed, Barca will be left without their current starting goalkeeper -- Victor Valdés -- and Pinto, who both appear on their way out of the club when their contracts expire this summer.
Marc Andre ter-Stegen is apparently set to join Barcelona, but that deal could be scuttled by the transfer ban. It’s not clear whether or not he will be allowed to join the club.
There’s always the chance that either Pinto or Valdés decide to change their minds if Barca are prevented from signing any new players over the summer, but should both leave as planned, the Blaugrana could be left with Oier Olazábal as their first choice goalkeeper.
