Do Hull City fans want the club to be known as the Hull Tigers? Yes!
Hull fans want to be known as the Tigers, says farcical poll
Democracy in action.

In a poll to season ticket holders, 44 percent of Hull supporters want the club to be called the Hull Tigers, compared to 43 percent who do not. 13 percent of fans don’t care.
Unfortunately for the club, significantly more fans would rather not be known as Hull fans altogether.
Only 5,874 season ticket holders voted. That’s out of 15,033.
That means 61 percent of Hull fans were asked to share their opinion on the club name and responded with, “or nah?”
It is possible that the reason they didn’t vote is because the poll was only a step better than those that elected Fidel Castro time and time again.
The vote put to season ticket holders was not simply, “Do you support the name change to Hull Tigers?” with a yes or no response. The vote was, essentially, vote for yes or the club will be sold.
The choices to vote were as follows:
- “Yes to Hull Tigers with the Allam Family continuing to lead the club.”
- “I am not too concerned and will continue to support the club either way.”
- “No to Hull Tigers.”
Translated:
- “Yes, I like the name or like your money.”
- “This sucks.”
- “Not only do I think the name is stupid, but I also don’t like your money. I’M SAYING NO TO MONEY.”
Yay, democracy!
