With two weeks left to play, Atlético Madrid are still on course to do just that.
Even with their loss to Levante loss weekend, Atléti are still in control of their fate, but they've managed to shrink their margin of error a bit. A win over Málaga on Sunday, combined with a loss or draw by Barcelona would secure the title for Atléti. If Barca match, or better, Atléti's result, the title will come down to next week's showdown at the Camp Nou between the two sides.
Atléti will get a boost from the return of Juanfran from suspension, but Diego Costa’s thigh remains a concern.
Málaga are five points clear of the drop, not mathematically safe, but very close. Depending on result elsewhere, a loss could still secure their safety, but a point would likely be enough to guarantee them top flight football next season.
