Barcelona draw, but they’re still alive
David RamosIn keeping with their usual style, Elche packed men behind the ball and prioritized keeping their shape ahead of counter attacking. Given that they’re still technically threatened by relegation, it’s not a bad plan, and it proved pretty effective against Barcelona. The Blaugrana’s best chance of the first half came in the 13th minute, when Andres Iniesta struck the crossbar from the edge of the penalty area. The visitors dominated the half, but couldn’t come up with anything better than that.
